There are some awesome people making the world better for these dogs, and changes are happening because of them, and because of you.
An absolutely chilling, heartbreaking video with glimpses of the tremendous work of rescuers which is vital to save lives and sadly necessary each and every day. The hardship and suffering endured by galgos and greyhounds is hard to bear, hard to witness and even harder to ease, yet help is always just around the corner thanks to the immense care and dedication of members of the public and shelter staff. We can all make a difference, choose to care for the voiceless.
Absolutely heartwrenching to watch!
Thank to the rescuers for saving these dogs but we really need to torture those behind this madness. It is unfortunate to see what people will do to for money whether it is fighting or racing these beautiful innocent animals.
People who allow this to happen should and will go straight to hell!

Very disturbing video. The world is full of some really cruel bastards.
It is absolutely disgusting that the authorities allow this to continue.The fact that they feel they can ignore what goes on, makes me feel physically sick.Something has to change.
Your video was incredibly difficult to watch,but if it highlights this absolutely barbaric and unnecessary cruelty, then it has to be done.(People should maybe think twice before they choose to holiday in certain European countries).My thanks to all the rescuers, bless you all and your fantastic work.

Ken, thank you for this touching video depicting the plight of the greyhound/galgo dog.
This poor creature has been exploited for far too long–in racing and hunting, when he is of no more use, he is discarded, sold into a life of medical research, or ground up into by-product for pet food.
as far as I’m concerned, greyhound races are banned from Spain, and only legal in Cataluña.
Human kind inflicts horrendous cruelty on the voiceless simply because they cannot say no. We must speak up for them. SPEAK UP, every voice makes a difference! Do your part to help stop animal cruelty. SPEAK UP!
the worst cases are in spain. i saw some disturbing pictures on google. also look for the picture of jaime ferrero (some politician from spain) with a bunch of dead cats. disgusting!

Over a year ago i adopted a sweet podenco girl from spain. No visible wounds, but she is hurt, for sure.
She is still afraid of people she doesn’t know. Thank god she’s safe now.
My heart goes out to all the podenco’s and galgo’s who still have to suffer…..
They are so sweet and soft natured!

Well, like it or not, galgo races ARE illegal in Spain.
That doesn’t mean they’re not popular and payoff to stay in the saddle. Drugs are illegal in the United States. Connect the dots.
