Sundance – choose a rescue dog
Sundance was left to wander the streets with a broken leg that had to be amputated. Now he's healthy and happy. The music is "The Promised Womb" by Dead Can Dance. See Mikey Small Paws in my favorites!!

I had the pleasure of meeting Sundance yesterday. He is a beautiful and happy dog and is bringing joy to all he meets. This video is wonderfully done and so very true. I have 2 rescue dogs and one foster dog. Small Paws Rescue is a very caring group of people who help an unbelievable number of dogs. Please consider a rescue dog for your next pet. Puppy mills are cruel and barbaric.
I could not believe anyone would leave a member of their family behind in the face of a hurricane. It took me almost 2 1/2 months but I found the little dog I was looking for and then drove almost 600 miles to New Orleans to pick her up.
Thank you for helping in the Katrina rescue efforts.
We, too, have this terrible syndrome of people acquiring cute puppies but then dumping them at a kill shelter once they are grown and no longer puppy cute.
Very beautiful Yvonne!
WOO HOO!! A nod from my other passion in life. Thank you very much!!!
Thank you for being Sundance’s foster mom and making this possible. As I’ve said before, thanks for loving him enough to give him up to a very special home. You do so much work for rescue so I wanted to do something for you. Love ya right back!
very touching Yvonne—–

I love this! Thank you for sharing! A Bichon seems like the best Valentine’s Day gift.
We just lost our Bichon right before Christmas–he went to the Rainbow Bridge.
The world needs more people like you!
Merry
As I sit here, tears are flowing from my eyes.
What a wonderful gift……Made me go to my fur babies and snuggle with them.
Can’t imagine a life without a bichon.
May God Bless you both, and may God Bless

Thanks for your very kind words. Bless your heart and I’m sorry for your loss.
It’s so wonderful to see Sundance doing so well. I don’t know if you both can get much happier. I love your story of being healthy and loving “our” little Sundance. Thanks so much for being around to take him, and for loving him. Rescue dogs are wonderful.
Love his smiles, esp. the ones next to your smiles.

foster mama to 10 bichons and 1 beagle mix
aww lovely :]
What a great story..your love for each other is easy to see.
God bless all of you for helping this dog.
God bless you and Sundance! I, too, am a Small Paws fan & love Robin & SPR!I have 2 bichons, & my oldest is a special needs baby. I was told when he was 8 & dx w/ diabetes, he’d die in a year. He just turned 14 (we have the same birthday), has cataracts, uveitis, cushing’s, high blood pressure, gall&bladder stones, a luxating patella & I love him & his 8 year bichon sister to death. It’s a lot of work& I haven’t been on vacation in 11yrs, but I do it for them.
Thanks so much! I believe that you get exactly what you give in life. Bless you for loving that baby like you do. I’m hoping Small Paws gets noticed a little more every day.
Oh Sei agrees, she became my baby when someone was tired of trying to house train her, it took me 1 and 1/2 days!! I appreciate you and others like you who help support rescue and pet adoptions, your Sundance is a doll!!
It’s ironic that our Sundance (aka flufferbutt)was tagged as a “special needs” dog. Yes, he has special needs: he just needs to be to be loved & appreciated.
While he only has 3 legs that doesn’t slow him down. When I take him for a walk and he decides he wants to just run for the heck of it (or in a futile chase of a bunny rabbit), his daddy has to run as fast as I can to try to keep up with him. Thanks to all who helped bring this miracle into our lives.

Sundance you rock, are so beautiful, and bring so much to the world! We could not agree more with everything you say. We are trying to help spread awareness about how good a rescue dog is as a way to build your pet family too, with our new song … Next we want to help talk about how dogs ARE a “lifetime commitment.” Thank you thank you, from doggies like us, Love, Your Rockin Rescue PaLs, LuLu and LoLLy!
Hi LuLu and LoLLy!! Thanks so much for the kind words and it is so great when someone can understand what I’m trying to say. I’m so glad you found us and hopefully together we can spread the word!
hugs and blessings, Yvonne (and Sundance)
